This Cinco de Mayo we cannot be together, but we can still celebrate. Please watch the videos below to learn about the significance of Cinco de Mayo and some highlights of Mexican culture. Then submit one of the following activities by Friday, May 8th.

Mariachi Tesoro of San Fernando and the Mariachi Academy of New York: Upload a video of you playing, singing or dancing to a traditional Mexican song.

Take a picture of yourself dressed in traditional Mexican clothes or that show the spirit of Mexico (for example: a Mexican team’s soccer jersey). Share a recipe card and/or upload a video of you making a traditional Mexican recipe. Finally, you can draw a picture or write a paragraph about how you and your family celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Your submissions will be shared on the school’s website and you will receive a prize.
